Morska Accessibility Tool (Text-to-Speech & Keyboard Navigation) is a Moodle accessibility solution developed to improve access to ordinary course pages, H5P activities, SCORM packages, and other interactive digital learning resources. It brings reading assistance, keyboard navigation, and visual accessibility tools directly into the learner’s course environment through a convenient floating widget.

Unlike basic text-to-speech tools that read only visible webpage text, Morska is designed for the realities of online learning. It supports learners as they move through course sections, accordions, tabs, flashcards, slideshows, interactive books and other learning objects commonly used in Moodle.

The suite is particularly valuable to learners with visual impairments, reading difficulties, dyslexia, limited literacy, attention challenges and users who prefer audio-supported learning. It also helps institutions strengthen inclusive digital-learning provision without requiring course creators to rebuild all existing learning materials.

• Navigate Rise lessons using dedicated next and previous commands;

• Receive spoken instructions explaining which key to use next.

Keyboard speech remains silent until the learner deliberately activates Keyboard Listening, ensuring that ordinary keyboard users are not interrupted by unwanted voice output.

When a learner opens an accordion, tab, flashcard or lesson section, Morska can associate the control with its revealed content and read that specific content rather than jumping unpredictably across the page.

Auto-highlight and auto-scroll

As content is spoken, Morska can:
